My Best friend sent me a card a few weeks ago. It was super sweet, and man, oh man, I miss that lady so much. We used to live in the same town, and life changed for both of us at the end of 2018. She got remarried to the man she should have been with all along, which meant moving to another state. So for me, I went in search of being a grandma here in NC. So now we are one thousand one hundred and one miles apart. That is seven states and way too many minutes; 981, according to Google Maps. Either way, it is too damn many. So I made her a card that she would know was from me!
The Card
My card’s background here uses a background stamp called wild roses from Stampin’ Up!. I stamped it in pink with Oxide inks color Picked Raspberry.
I took the Lacy Doily die-cut and rubbed some vintage photo distress oxide over it. Next, I stamped the Hello in the same pink as the background and used Chipped Saphire for the Bestie and clear embossing powder.
I trimmed down my flower background and used the vintage photo ink blended on another piece of white cardstock.
I used foam tape to adhere it down to my thick card base.
I hope the card brings a smile to her face. I miss her bunches.
