Today’s blog is from my first course with the Altenew Educator Certification Program called All about Layering. I was inspired by the simplicity of the cards in this class. You get so much more when you try to do simple and minimal. I do find it hard sometimes to bring myself back to the basics, this class helped me do just that. The class also helped me figure out how to use my favorite stamp set Beautiful Day that I purchased from them but was not so sure of the tricks to make it look like it was supposed to.
As most of you know I have decided to go in a different direction with my crafting. One of the new adventures is starting the Altenew Educator Certification Program. I was so excited when I got an out-of-the-blue email from Altenew. Apparently, my email had gotten sent to a spam folder by accident. So after I had given up the idea and was headed in a different direction the opportunity presented itself again. I decided it was perfect timing for me and I can still do the other things that I wanted to do with pour painting. I hope you all will follow me on this journey as I learn.
First, we start with the basics.
In my second attempt, I created a bit more creativity with some second, third, and fourth-generation stamping in the same color.
For the final card, I completed for this class I used my favorite stamp set from Altenew, Beautiful day. The layering it gives the flower is so much better than I could ever hope to achieve on my own.
I can finally announce that I am officially starting the program. Of course, I will still be doing other things such as the pour painting as promised. I hope that you will be inspired to create along with me.
