It’s Tax day if you have not filed time is defiantly running out for you. I really dislike the frustration of tax time. You have to remember all of those things like medical receipts ect ect. Yuck! Surprisingly my husband and I got ours done and amazingly received refunds already. WOW is all I can say it was only a few weeks of waiting this time. Now on to some crafting fun.
I have always loved that shiny silver paper. I found a project I wanted to complete but realized I did not have any paper. So I found a way to improvise. I used regular cardstock (you can use any color, scraps, or even something that has been stamped on that you just could not throw away) and covered it with Aluminum tape from the local hardware store, that is used to cover joints in the air conditioner duct work. This is how I created the look of this Aluminum Embossed Bird Card.
I created layers following up the last layer with the aluminum covered whisper white cardstock that has the punched out birds on top. I then ran the whole thing through the Big Shot and embossed it. It turned out lovely. The lines of the aluminum tape are covered up with the embossing and the Modern Punch for the sentiment.
This is also one of the cards we will be doing at Pelican Park on Wednesday April 15th, 630 pm and April 30th, at 10 am.

so elegant Amy. I’ve done this aluminum foil embossing before and I just love it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention again. The bird wings are a nice touch.
