I wanted to take a stamp set in the annual catalog (2021-2022) and use it to create a Christmas card. So I choose the Artistic Dies to use. I love the dies in the set and believe it makes a beautiful center to any card.
I choose to do a watercolor background for the flower. So I took a piece of watercolor paper wet it just enough so the water would move the ink when it was dropped on the form.
I used Altenew’s Watercolor brush markers; you can get the same effect from using Stampin’ up reinkers. I placed the color on the paper and allowed it to completely dry; You can use a heat gun if you are impatient.
I used evening evergreen cardstock once it is colored, cut it out, and then diecut your image out. Next, I cut out the flower bundle and a leaf from the artistic dies.
Using a Christmas sentiment that would fit Eden dies from Banner Year stamp set to make it a Christmas card.
I love the watercolor look behind the flowers. The paper that I used behind is from the new early release paper Edens Garden DSP. I embossed it with the Timeworn 3D texture. I also used some of the Cotton Paper, and the Eden Dies for the sentiment. Finally, I am topping it all off with bits of gold embellishments ranging from gilded leafing to sequins and ribbons.
