Hi Stampers!! I finally got all the Baby Shower Tags and Banner done. Like I said on my last post my niece is having a baby and the shower is tomorrow. Whew, I thought I would never get all the things that needed to be created done, but I made it. Here are a few more items that I did for the shower. First is the Banner with baby Xander’s name, and then there is the tags that will go on the favors, a small hand sanitizer bottle.
I love using my Zoo Babies Stamp Set it can make some of the cutest items. This banner was so simple to put together and do. I have stencils that can give me a chevron, spotted, and striped pattern. I have always had trouble getting it not to bleed under the stencil. Well I learn a quick trick that worked perfectly. Use your 2 way glue pen and rub all over the stencil let it dry and it become tacky and sticks to the canvas so you can color but comes off with no adhesive left behind. Perfection!!
Here is what you need to complete the Banner.
Inks/Stamps
- Smoky Slate Classic Ink Pad
- Marina Mist Classic Ink Pad
- Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pad
- Zoo Babies Stamp Set
Accessories/Tools
- Build a Banner Simply Created Kit or if you already have this then
- Build a Banner Refill Kit
- Marina Mist Chevron Ribbon
- Sponge dauber
I also made some boxes to go with the theme but I did not get pictures of them. I bought some pre-cut out boxes (I know, I know I can make those) and added the tag below and also made on with the Giraffe from the Zoo Babies that I embossed on the Marina Mist cardstock with some left over Pumpkin Pie embossing powder. These were on each side and on the ends I used the Chevron stamp from Works of Art and stamped that in Smoky slate. The boxes were in plane white and did not take the ink from the stamps too well so the could not get more jazzed up. That is a live and learn kinda thing. I won’t be doing that again.
Now the Tags.
They are so much like the invitations if you saw that post last week. I added dimentionals to them to be able to have a piece of twine around it without punching a whole into the chevron paper. Take a look.
