Blendabilities with Pleasant Poppies

Blendabilities with the Pleasant Poppies stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.  What an awesome combination.  This is one of my Make and Takes at WoodCrop this year. It turned out to be the biggest hit of all.  Here are the instructions on how to make these perfect little tags.

 

Cardstock cut at 51/2 in  x 2 in your choice of

• Melon Mambo
• Night of Navy
• Calypso Coral

Cardstock cut at 4 1/2 in and 1 3/4 in

• Very Vanilla

Other Items

• Pleasant Poppies Stamp
• Memento tuxedo black Ink pad
• Blendabilities Marker Color Lifer
• Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker
• Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker
• Wild Wasabi Stampin Write Marker
• Wild Wasabi Seam Binding Ribbon 1/2 in
• Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
• Blendabilites to match your choice of Cardstock

• Adhesive

1. Stamp your Poppies on the Very vanilla cardstock with the Memento Tuxedo Ink Pad (it does not matter which part of the stamp you use what ever you like.)
2. Take your Blendabilites and start blending with the darkest color.  (I know that others say to start with lightest but I find it blends better overall when you start with the darkest color) Stampin’ Up! stamps are perfect for the blendabilities because they tell you where to color with the lines that are there.  Use those lines to guide you with your coloring.
3. After you have applied the darkest color use the next color and go around the dark color as you would for where you want the light to hit the flowers. Finally use the lightest color to fill in all the rest of the flower.  It is ok that it goes over the darker colors it will help them blend. It is also ok if you go outside the lines that is what the Blendabilites Marker Color Lifter is for.
4. For the center of the flowers and the stems of the flowers I used the other stampin write markers to color them in. Of you colored the centers in that if fine just use the color lifter to remove the color. You can use the Blendabilites to add those colors if you wish.
5. After you are all colored in take the colored cardstock and put it into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and punch it out.
6. Attach the Very Vanilla on to the colored cardstock with adhesive
7. Add your ribbon and your done

These make perfect additons to any card as the center attraction. You can use them as a tag topper on presents or even just a pretty bookmark. The choice is yours.
