The AECP program class Clean and Simple Boutique cards are the third class in the AECP program. Like all the others brings you back to some basics that make you go; WOW, that is stunning. Like so many other crafters, I get caught up in the what is the newest and latest technique. But unfortunately, I forget to use these easy crafting tips.

This class also inspired me to buy the Heidi Swap Minc Mini machine. What an excellent addition to my craft room. It gives the pressure when I need it and five different temperatures to choose from. I am doing a happy dance in the crafty cottage right now!!

 

I used some specialty paper from Stampin’ Up! for my first card, which has retired, and I never found myself using it. So today was the day to find another way to use this stuff. I combined it first with the leaves from the Altenew Remember This stamp set. I also wanted to try it again, so I repeated the card, making it with the leaves from the Beautiful Day stamp set. After I created the card, I thought it was just too loud. So I decided to soften the card with simple vellum and stamp the detailed image over the leaves on the vellum. My sentiment is a Thank you die that is retired from Stampin’ Up!

 

 

 

 

My second card was more straightforward. I stamped and colored some of the buds from the Altenew Remember This stamp set and cut them out. I scored lines down the A2 card front about a half-inch apart until I ended. I created a soft banner with some alcohol markers blending the colors. The sentiment is from the More Than Words stamp set and is embossed on top in black embossing powder. I love the clean lines of this card.
