The Colorful Seasons bundle is so extremely versatile. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter seasons with this perfect bundle. I have been working on cards to send to a group that supports Cards for Little Hearts and they are been asking for Fall and Winter scene cards. You have seen the Snowflake card I have chosen to do for the Winter scene posted July 12th. Check here if you missed it. Below is the card I have done for our Fall card. I do hope you like it. The girls had fun doing this card. It was a lot of work since we made two each. So worth it though. During class, the girls were given the choice to do the pig or the Chick. Everyone choose the Chick from the retired set Hey Chick.
Please let me know what you think, comments are always appreciated.
Seeing this card in a picture just does not do it justice. I added the embossing paste which gave it a rich texture and then we made sure we crinkled the leaves and put Wink of Stella on them as well. This made for such fantastic depth and dimension on this card.
I am working on a post about how to use your embossing paste. There are so many ways to use it.
- You can add color to it before you spread your paste. Doing this before gives you a pure color like you see in this card on the brick.
- When adding color after the embossing paste has dried Doing it after gives you a rich color around the paste and a bit softer color on the paste. I have not tried this as of yet but I will be sure to post about it when I do.
- You can make your project have more texture by not making it completely smooth. When doing the brick in this project I made sure that I lifted my knife straight up in some spots to make the bricks seem rough as they would be in real life.
