COLOUR INKspiration CHALLENGE #CI13

I decided to challenge myself and enter into a COLOUR challenge. Here is the challenge. Sweet Sugarplum, Wild Wasabi, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig.

Drum Roll, please….. Here is my card…

I can not say how much I love this stamp set. It makes me just oh so happy!! I used the standard Z-Fold card base of Whisper White 4 1/4 ” x 1″ scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″.

The side panels are 2 1/2″ x 4″ of Sweet Sugarplum embossed with the brick embossing folder. I added a touch of Fresh Fig on the edges and a bit of Whisper White Craft ink to soften the cardstock.

The front panel has The layering ovals with Fresh Fig Floral DSP and then on Whisper White a cute little piggy cut out with the Stitched Framelits. I used my aqua pen to color him in with Sweet Sugarplum. I also added with my Stampin’ Write marker Wild Wasabi a bit of green in the grass.

The main panel (inside) has a piece of Lemon Lime Twist 2″ x 5 1/4″ at the bottom. Several Little Piggies stamped onto Whisper White and colored again with my aqua pen and Sweet Sugarplum. I fussy cut them out. I used the new Cloud mask for the clouds using a touch of Soft Sky and Sweet Sugar Plum with a sponge. The trick to doing this is making sure you cover everything you do not want color on. I learned this the hard way.

I added a crate with the Wood Textured DSP and cut it out with the Wood Crate framelits. I did not cut out the bottom of the crate since it was not necessary for this particular card. This allows you to get both sides out of one 6″ x 6″ DSP.

I used dimentionals on several of the pigs and a bit of Wild Wasabi cut up with some scissors for the grass in the crate.
