Who would have thought to use Oh So Ombre paper to make a sunset! Not me, that is for sure. I saw a card from Michelle Treehouse where she used the Corner Bouquet, and I thought how stunning it was to use it as a silhouette with a sunrise/sunset behind it. I thought, well, I could defiantly do a sunset using some pink colors in it. So I decided to use the paper from the Oh So Ombre collection with Saleabration. Of course, I am my own worse critic. I do think it came out better than I thought it would.
Using the Blending Brushes from Stampin’ Up! made it super easy to get the look I was going for. You be the judge.
The Card
I started by cutting my, Oh So Ombre Rococo Rose paper down, going more for the paper’s lighter side. I then stamped in Stazon my flowers from the Corner Bouquet stamp.
I then placed my mask circle on my DSP and then covered the area with Daffodil Delight color and Mango Melody with the Blending brushes. I sponged a bit of Pumpkin pie just on the edges of the sun. I also then added another layer of the Rococo Rose to darken my sky and sides.
That is it. Such a simple card to do. It took no time to complete this.
Stazon is a messy ink, though, so make sure you have some stazon cleaner on hand to clean off your stamp quickly, or it will become stazon jet black itself.
I did do some other cards using this stamp set. Simple shading with the blending brushes.
