The Detailed Santa Thinlit has become one of my favorite items from the Holiday catalog. It has proven to be versatile and makes for a quick and easy card all the while being extremely GORGEOUS and Stunning. Check out this beauty. Thanks to a live Facebook post from another Demonstrator named Rachel. Just look at the detail on this card. I added stars that I punched out with the framelits as well using Silver Glimmer Paper. I used a retired stamp set from last year (2015) I believe it is Good Greetings.
For the DSP on this card I used Retired Vellum from 2015. I think it makes it look more like a present that anything else. I also used a bit bigger sized piece of DSP.
Here is another card made with the same style but different Designer Series Paper.
Check out the video on how to do these cards here. Thanks, Rachael they are awesome!!
Detailed Santa Shaker Card
I had posted another card with this thinlit set here. I know I never told you how to do this one. So I am going to tell you here. I did do this one as a class. We got to make three each. I let them pick which one you wanted to do. Check the different ones in the prior post. As always it is fun to watch other people change your designs to fit them. I love my job.
So I will give you directions on the red and white Santa pictured here.
A complete list of items will be listed below for you.
Take 8 1/2 real red cardstock fold in half, a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 4 x 5 1/4 run this through your Big Shot with the Detailed Santa Thinlit. You are going to place it wherever you feel comfortable. I put mine toward the top leaving the bottom for my sentiment. There will be approximately 1/4 of an inch all around the top and sides of the thinlit. Once you cut it out take the brush and run it over it to get all the bits and pieces out. At this time you can stamp your sentiment on the bottom and place your washi tape on the cardstock.
Once you have your top piece flip it over and glue down your window sheet. Which should be cut 4 x 4 (or enough to cover all of the Santa). Once it is glued on you will then turn it over and on the window sheet side wipe it down with an Embossing Buddy this cuts down on the static in the shaker. Then put down your foam tape all around the Santa cut out. Take your Red folded cardstock base and rub it with the embossing buddy as well. Place your Mica flakes in the center of the Real Red base where your Santa will go. I used the white mica flakes that come in the trio pack. You can choose whichever suits you. Then remove the backing from the foam tape and place it onto the base. I just put a random sentiment on the inside and left blank for my own writing.
There you have it!! A stunning Christmas Card!!
