Easy Die Cutting Techniques class for the Altenew AECP class intrigued me. Of course, there are plenty of ways to use your diecuts, and I knew most of them, but yes. I was surprised and taken out of my comfort zone once again.
My card today makes me think of my donor family and all the hope they gave me when I was transplanted 28 years ago. I did plenty of interviews when I finally met them through @liftgift of Fort Worth, TX. I also volunteered with @LOPA in the New Orleans area for many years before moving to NC. When one life ends, another life can be saved through organ donation. You can save up to seven lives.
The card I created reminded me of the hope one feels when an organ donor is found for them. I started with the Mega Hope Die from Altenew. I cut three layers of this one with a piece of toner paper and used a blue foil in my Minc Machine; I used the diecuts to cut the two other pieces with thick solar white cardstock. Finally, I layer all three up to give my sentiment some depth.
My leaves were cut and stamped with the Morning Flower Bundle from Altenew. After stamping the leaves on the cardstock, I took the die-cut and embossed it over two of my leaf bundles. The third one was stamped and diecut out and placed with foam tape.
