Embossing on Vellum with Lovely Lace Folder
Embossing on Vellum is a classic design that can be exceptionally beautiful with or without adding any color. With this one I was on the fence about doing it monochromatic or adding color. I went with the color. I do think it is beautiful without it too. There are several different ways to do Embossing on Vellum, You can do as I did here and just roll it through your Big Shot with a folder. You can stamp an image onto the vellum and then use your ball tool and gently rub the back of the image to leave it looking white on the front. You can also heat emboss on your vellum. This one is the trickiest of them all. You must take great care not to overheat the vellum for fear of warping the vellum. Also if not using the best powders it can sometimes chip off after when handled. I recommend if your going to try this method use Stampin’ Up! embossing powders and to keep the heat gun on low and move the gun around frequently so not to leave heat in one place too long. This will help from warping.
With this card I used my stampin write markers to color the back of the vellum after running through the big shot with the Lovely Lace embossing folder.
