Evergreen Elegance is a beautiful bundle. Most people do not know what to do with the whole set. I mean, we get three stamps every season, sometimes more than one. So why do we need another, right? Last year we had the In the Pines, and the year before that, we had In the Woods. We also had Rooted in Nature bundle. So many nature sets. I am sure that I have more than those listed. So yes, I was a little hesitant to get yet another tree bundle. I must say I like the border punch. I have now used it on many other cards—some simple ones which I like best. Then we have like the one I have done for you today here, which does not seem so simple. In actuality, it is effortless, just lots of layers. First, let me show you some items from the catalog that may pique your interest.
Card one is simple, using the masking and sponging to get the forest on this one.
My Card
This one seems like a labor of love. It is of sorts. It is defiantly not as tricky as it looks. I layered pieces of DSP and distressed them a bit. I added a tag created with basic white cardstock and a bit of watercolored night of navy on it. The bow was made with crinkled ribbon, but I wanted some polished pink, and the weaving ribbon we had was a bit too dark. So I rubbed my light Stampin Blends in Polished pink on the organdy ribbon, giving it a splash of pink, and tied it around my ribbon. The beautiful blue trees are created with the border punch and stamped with one of the trees from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set. I was sure to stamp several times before adding more ink to the image giving it a look. I love it!! Of course, after all of this, I could not help to put my cute little pig from the Joyful Life stamp set … I have to cut out more of him. I adore him. I had a whole sheet cut out of him and have used them all.
Do you have any other ideas for me to use for this little piggy? Of course, he does look like a Harry Potter-type pig, Hogwarts, so to speak. LOL. I need more ideas, please!
