I have decided to go back to basics and find some simpler techniques for you. Faux Torn paper is so simple. If you can mask you can do this. Such a quick simple way to add some dimension and interest with those background stamps that you just love but do not want to use the whole image.
I can so see myself doing this with some of those other background stamps that I have from other companies too. There are a lot out there that I love. For me, this is a game-changer. I especially love the buffalo check image so much smaller. Very pretty indeed.

A simple one first. Just stamping and a bit of masking.

This one is a bit more for the avid crafter. I used the huffing technique to get my greeting to be in two different colors with some Stampin’ Write Markers. I also used Stampin Blends for the dandelions with a clear Wink of Stella and a blender pen.
Dimensions:
- Card Front 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Balmy Blue/Basic Gray
- Next layer 5 1/4 x 4 So Saffron/Bumblebee

A quick walk through the catalog with me and then watch a quick simple technique used here to create the background of these two cards.

Thanks for reminding me of this fun technique! It’s nice to go back to some of the basic techniques 🙂 I love them both but I think the buffalo plaid is my favorite!
Thank you, Toni. I do agree with going back to the simpler techniques from time to time. Helps remind me of why I do what I do. I fall in love with it all over again.
