The Reason for the Season Stamp set was held over from last year. I have selected the festive flower punch that goes with this set to show you today. I used this with another technique. This video shows you how to use the punch to make a flower. I did find that you punch out some carstock that you are going to trash…(gasp I know throw out right NEVER!!) with the punch and then place the stamps where you want them on that cut out piece. This will help you align all of your stamped images to punch them easily. Then you can create this faboulous card below.
My flower is made of Very Vanilla cardstock, Crumb Cake Cardstock, Crumb Cake ink, and Early espresso ink. I used a brown Wink of Stella brush (non SU) on the edges to give it some shimmer. The center is cut out with Gold Glimmer paper (retired).
Isnt this stunning? The background is called Heat Embossing meets Dry Embossing. I just love it. I made several of these and I do not want to send them out the their recipients. I fell completely head over heals in love with them. I am going to have to make the one with the flower again and again and again. Here are the other two I made. I did not do the inside of these two yet.
I was going to teach this as a prize technique for the class that I was going to have today at my house but we did not get enough to sign up so the class had to be canceled. Maybe at some point, I will be able to teach this one again.
