When I saw this Frosted Medallion design from another Demonstrator I knew I just had to have this set. It is from My Pink Stamper check out her blog here. She explains how to do this particular card. We did this one in my class on 11/17 at Pelican Park. We did the two variations that I have here.
I just love this one. I love the blogger’s name that did these too “My Pink Stamper” awesome! One of my favorite colors.
Frosted Medallion Card Two
I also posted another card on one of my prior posts. I am going to explain to you how to do that one. It is a bit different but using the same stamp set and is full of color.
I used the new sponge brayers in the Annual catalog on pg 180. I love the way the color rolls off the sponge and mixes with each other. There will be a complete list of items used at the bottom of this post.
- Card Base Sweet Sugarplum 4 1/4 x 11 inches folded in half
- Second layer Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 inches
- Third layer Whisper White 3.75 x 5 inches
With the third piece, you are going to take Soft Sky Ink, Tempting turquoise, and Rich Razzleberry ink and rub them onto the sponge brayer and start with the Rich Razzleberry on the bottom working your way up to Soft Sky. The colors will blend beautifully. Not too much of the Rich Razzleberry it is pretty strong. Once you got that done use Perfect Plum Ink to stamp the smaller of the two Frosted medallions randomly. Then take some Whisper White Classic Ink and stamp the larger Medallion Stamp. Then you will want to cover it with Whisper White Embossing powder and heat it up.
After you stand back and admire you work, take a piece of the Glitter ribbon in Sweet Sugarplum make a bow and then wrap around the edge of your stamped cardstock.
I used a piece of Whisper white and stamped the sentiment on it in the Sweet Sugarplum ink then cut some dove tales into it at both ends. I adhered this with dimentionals.
You can now layer your cardstock together with any regular permanent adhesive of your choice.
For some sparkle, I added a few sequins that I had lying around.
Here is the inside. I stamped a few Frosted Medallions inside.
