Gather Together is such a fantastic fall bundle. I can not seem to find enough time in the day to do all the ideas that run through my head or my pintrest board. The other problem is the space to fully layout all the projects. Here in the tiny, I must complete one and then go onto the other. I designed this several weeks ago, wishing for fall to come to North Carolina. We had been in the upper 90’s, and well, I was over it. I could have stayed in Louisiana for this kind of weather. Finally, fall has arrived, and by the time this post goes live, we should be in the upper 40’s for the low and an in the upper 60’s for the high.
The Card
Heart’s Delight Cards is where I got my inspiration for the background along with the beautiful leaves I had made from these beautiful leaves. I saw the below picture.
I did several and a special one for a customer and friend who had been under the weather recently. I changed the sentiment on hers to Wishing you Well from the Gather Together bundle. I stamped the Birch background in several different colors.
Making the leaves
I made these leaves by taking a 5 1/2 inch x 4 1/4 inch piece of each color cardstock and stamping the leaves from the Gather Together bundle all over it with the same color ink. Then I placed random dies from the Gather Together bundle, and the Stitched Be Mine Dies, cutting out my leaves. After that, I took each leave and crumpled them up to give even more texture to the leaves to simulate fall leaves. The only ones that I did not crumple were the ones with the embossed leave texture.
I used dimentionals on a few of the leaves. I love how these came out. Mother Nature sure is creative in her designs and shapes.
