Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set has been out for a while. It is in our Annual catalog. I love it for its versatility for the Birthday Card. I decided to use the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set when I found out what the colors were for the new Color InkSpiration Challange.
When I saw these colors I just knew I wanted it to be flowers. I found to my surprise that I do not have that many floral sets. My favorite is Birthday Blooms. This one has been retired. (insert sad face here).
So I went through my sets and found Painted Harvest and Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I decided on this one because I just couldn’t get colors the way I wanted them with the Painted Harvest. So I was inspired by these two lovely ladies for my card today.
First is Monica here is her blog if you would like to check her out. The other one was Cindy you can check out her blog here. I took a little inspiration from each of these cards to create mine.
UPDATE to this blog: I was top 5 pick with this card
I am really over the Mango Melody these days. Just about everything I have done lately has had it in it. I was going to use the Mango Melody cardstock for the base of this cards since I have so much of but I decided to use my leftover Berry Burst ribbon. I also put just a touch of color to the background embossed piece by using an aqua painter to lightly brush the Highland Heather across the cardstock.
