Happy Valentine’s Day my fellow Stampers and Crafters!! I am not a dark color girl. I am into pinks, reds and lots of subtle colors. I also like hearts. So today is one of my favorite days! My upline Lori picks on me because I hardly ever use nor do I own very many Regal colors from Stampin’ Up! I actually purchase a Cherry Cobbler set, you know Cardstock, ink pad, refill, ribbon, embossing powder, stampin write marker, and the Blendables. So now in her opinion I am coming to “the Dark side” Ha! I love it. I am just trying to think outside my little box. So in this Happy Heart Impression Birthday Card, it is unusual for me to do a card with Night of Navy but of course I do have some Blushing Bride in it too. I had fun trying to blend the Regals and the Subtles together with a touch of heart. I love this card it came out very pretty.
I also found that if you are going to put the vellum on the back of the framelit cut out you should glue it onto to vellum and then cut out. This allows you to color the back of the Vellum so if you make a mistake you do not see it on the front of the butterfly.
I also found after doing a few of the Butterflies with the framelits it is best to use Wax Paper between the Cardstock and the framelit. It makes it come out much easier.
For this dark but subtle card you will need the following:
Stamps/Cardstock/Ink
- Butterfly Basics
- Night Of Navy Cardstock
- Whisper White Cardstock
- Blushing Bride Classic Ink Pad
- Vellum
- White Glitter Paper (non SU)

- Night of Navy Blendables (on the pearls and the vellum of butterfly)
- Daffodil Delight Blendables (on the vellum of butterfly)
