Happy Tails stamp set is perfect for the dog lover in you. I had a friend whom recently lost her beloved pooch Gabby. I was heart broken for her. Loosing a fur-baby is never easy. It in fact is extremely hard, especially when you have to make the humane decision to help them along because the suffering they would endure is much more painful that the end would be. So my thoughts and prayers go out to her.
This card is made with several different techniques that are quite simple with a dramatic effect and I love how it adds so much color to the card.
First, we will start with the background paper. I used the Tranquil Textured Designer Series Paper atop of some Tranquil Tide card stock. I used the one that looks like brushed strokes of Fresh Fig across some white paper. Then I used a piece of Whisper White and stamped it with the Buffalo Check background stamp in Balmy Blue. After I gave that a moment to dry I then used a ruler to add Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide lines in using the Stampin’ Write Markers. This adds in all those colors to make it coordinate.
The hearts were cut out using Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. I used the biggest one in two different colors. This gives you two pieces with one cut. I did the Whisper White and then stamped it with my sentiment and paw print. I then cut it out in Tranquil Tide Cardstock to place around the white heart. I stamped and punched the dog out with Whisper White and watercolored him with Sahara Sand and Soft Suede. The heart was cut out of some Cherry Cobbler scraps.
The tricky part came to the inside. I wanted my sentiment to say “The pain is immeasurable but so is the love that will be left behind”. I did this with my Cricut. I then stamped I am so sorry for your loss. I did not take a picture inside I wish I would have. That is ok though. If you know how to make your Cricut write then you just add your text to the rectangle and attach it. Then cut it.
