Hearts Come Home

I purchased Hearts come home as a bundle at the end of last year last year. I just love some of the stuff done with it. People have made wonderful shadow boxes with a village scene for the holidays and put a light behind it. It becomes STUNNING! This would be a perfect way to decorate the Tiny house for the holidays since we will not have much room there for a tree. Check out today’s card it is uber simple and I used it in my Stamp a Stack class this month. This particular set is in the annual catalog and will be available at least until June 2, 2019.

This card was very simple to create. I followed a picture on pintrest with another set from another company and made my own.

1.  Take a piece of Whisper White cardstock (4 1/8 x 5 7/8 inches) and emboss it with the Softly falling embossing folder
2. I use the sponge brayer to color the cardstock with Night of Navy. You can do as much as you want or as little as you want here. I wanted it to look like it was night time so I went all the way up with mine and a bit heavy. Some just like a bit of color right where the buildings are. To do this you will go softly and in a V motion so there will not be a solid line. You may want to practice on your grid paper first to get the hang of it.
3. Take another piece of Whisper White Cardstock same size as above and place your edgelit along your cardstock where ever you want I went almost halfway here. Run it through the bigshot.
4. Now stamp your sentiment at the bottom below the buildings. Then put dimentionals all around the back. I love the mini dimentionals for this project especially since there are some really small areas I want to stay down.
5. You can then place it on top of the brayered piece.
6. I added rhinestones for sparkle. I colored a few with the night of navy blends. This makes the color permanent.
7. Now place it on your card base which should be 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 in scored at 4 1/4.

That’s it. A beautiful simple card. I could make tones of these. It sure does make the mind swirl with ideas. Unfortunately one never seems to have the time to do all those ideas in our head.
