My oldest Grandson is into Minecraft. I really don’t know much about it, even though I have watched some of the shows with him on Netflix. I don’t get it either but then again I am not supposed to I don’t guess. He asked for Harry Potter cake first then he went to Minecraft. We finally told him he had to pick one and could not change his mind again. HAHA I wish I could be so indecisive.
We had lunch with him on his birthday at school. Then picked him up after school. Pops played catch with him. He was so happy to have some time with us.
The card and cake were not my usual standards because he kept changing his mind. I made it all on the day of his birthday.
The Card
This one was simple and such a quick card thanks to Lynn Dunn. Check out her blog on this one.
The Cake
This was simple as well. I found Wilton Sugar Sheets at Walmart in black. I was able to cut these sheets up with my Stampin’ Up! trimmer (the new one). The new blades just breezed right through them. I also found the Moss Green Wilton icing color. I put this in the Vanilla Icing from Pillsbury. Baked a regular 9×13 inch pan of chocolate fudge cake and covered it with the mossy green icing. The creeper pieces cut exactly the same for the card out of Sugar Sheets made this little guy on the cake. I am sure he is going to love it.
