NC Demo’s Blog hoppers are at it again! This month is all about Summer!! If you have come from Tina’s Blog, then you know this. For me, summer is flowers and water. What better way to combine the two with watercolored flowers. So join me in learning a new technique (at least new to me). I have used some NON-Stampin’ Up! supplies in these cards and give you a Stampin’ UP! option. Enjoy the hopping.
Miss your Smile by Pink Fresh studios is the perfect stamp set for this technique that I am using today. I so love how easy this is to do. I have been trying other products because of my issues getting the supplies that I want or need.
I have decided to pursue outside of my Stampin’ Up! world. So I went to a local craft store called Enchanted Cottage. It is about a 30 min drive from my house. I am in love with the stuff and the staff in the store. They make you feel very welcome and are willing to order anything online that you want.
Today I am going to show you what I purchased and created from their store.
I did all of these in watercolor. I have a quick video I will link below on how I did that. So very easy and makes a girl happy. Unfortunately, I could not find many current Stampin’ Up! products to do this with. I did, however, do one with the Hand Penned Stamp set. I will show you that in the video. Click here. This one is on my FB page as one of Thursday’s tips, tricks, and techniques.
Here are those completed cards using Hand Penned from Stampin’ Up!
Stampin’ Up! Cards
The Cards using Pink Fresh Studios
If you like this stamp set, you can contact our wonderful local shop Enchanted Cottage in Lewisville, NC. Click here for the FB page.
If that is not your thing, you can order online at Simon Says Miss Your Smile. Otherwise, the items I used in the Hand-Penned cards are the same, except I used Stampin’ Up! Basic Black Cardstock. I did not use Stampin’ Up! watercolor paper here because SU’s paper is too small for a slimline card.
You can check out the complete watercolor process with the I miss your smile stamp set below. Or click here to watch.
Now that you have seen my card hop along with the rest of the girls to see what about Summer inspires them. You never know you may get an inspirational idea come along. Next up is JoAnne and she never disappoints in her card making. Click the box below to go to her blog.
