Mother’s Day Paper Flowers

Mother’s Day is never very fun for me unless I get to celebrate with my mom. So since my mom lives a thousand of miles from me and my daughter lives close to a thousand miles from me I went to celebrate with my friend Lori and her mother whom was in ICU for Mother’s Day. While in ICU you can not have real flowers so I created her favorite Paper Flowers.

Hibiscus flower made with the Cricut and Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Up! Paper. I found the pistil in the cake decorating isle.

I sure hope when Carolyn is more alert she really likes these flower and they cheer her up so that she makes a full recovery. Please send your prayers to her and her family.

For the Cricut Hibiscus flowers these are the following supplies I used

• Grunge stamp from a Paper Pumpkin kit (any grunge stamp will work)

Below are the flowers my wonderful Husband sent to me while he was out of town for work. He is so wonderful to me. I bought the Peonies for myself thinking I would not get any and  I just wanted to cheer up the house. Well low and behold when I pulled up from the grocery these flowers were on the porch from Pro Flowers.

Now for what I made for my mom. I learned how to do this one with my friend Lori at ScrapDat.com through one of her classes.  I am hoping Mom liked it. She did say to me that she was not sure what flowers I was trying to create. I was not trying to create any particular flower just what looked pretty. At least I know my mom can not kill these and try to bring them back from the dead.  LOL  Love you Mom.
