So I got to go to my first OnStage ever. I got to learn all about the changes coming in the new Catalog. I am absolutely stoked and I am sure you will be too. The Retired list is out. I have emailed most of you and will leave you a link at the end of this blog post to check out the retiring products so you can be sure you get what you wanted before they are gone.
Back to OnStage. We learned a lot about the new products that will be offered to you in the new catalog. We did make and takes great food and of course lots of fun.
I got to meet Francis Martin from Frenchie Stamps
I also went with Lori Sutton and I’s upline Laura Collet check her site out here.
On our way, we stopped at a dinner called Lea’s and we had some awesome Chocolate Meringue pie.
My onstage swap was so much fun to make. Check out my little Monster that went “Incognito” in the Woodland Embossing folder.
I just loved making these fun little guy. I was hoping that he would not retire but alas he is retiring at the end of May. That is unfortunately one of the bad things about OnStage in April. You just do not know what is going to stay and what is going to go. So I took my chances.
To make him I stamped him out on white cardstock and cut him out by hand (50 times) Then I placed him on the small piece of Whisper white cardstock before running him through the Big Shot. I used the Woodlands Embossing folder with Soft Sky Classic Ink that I put on with the brayer. Make sure you choose the correct side that you want before you color. I wanted the trees to remain as white as possible. I did not use adhesive when running through the big shot. It is very important that you keep the Monster from moving so that the white space he leaves on the background stays just the way you want it. I had several move and ended up with Monsters that were horizontal instead of verticle.
Once you have him ran through the big shot you will curl the Monster either with a bone folder or a flower making tool. This will give him some curl to him so he puffs up. Then you will run some smoky slate around the edge of the monster with a dauber. Then use dimentionals to adhere the Monster to the embossed white cardstock.
The rest of the card is pretty simple I used the circle Stitched Framelits around the “Hugs” that has been stamped on whisper white as well. I used Blooms and Bliss designer series paper. I loved the piece that looks like hearts in it. What better to use for Stampin with a heart? To finish off with a bit of glitz I used Wink of Stella on the tummy, horns, and paws of my little Monster.
For this little guy you will need the following:
Happy Shoppin,
