Ornate Garden Sneak Peak #3

My Sneak peek today is all about the Ornate Borders. I love these. I was not sure what I was going to do with them. So I started checking out what everyone else was doing with them. I found a few that I liked and so I decided to come up with a few different versions of cards using these border dies.

The first one seems so vintage to me. I love the combination of Early Espresso and Very Vanilla together. I do think it should have been a softer color of browns like Soft Suede or Crumb Cake. I also think the color combination for it to be so dark could be Night of Navy and Whisper White.

I love the way this one came out. I wanted a darker color of Purple so I used some Gorgeous Grape along with my Highland Heather. The Gorgeous Grape is a die as well is the daisy’s done in the Whisper White. Saving some of the White pieces from the cut out to put with my little flowers made from dies that come in this set. I varied their colors here. Not sure you can tell but I embossed the Whisper White after I cut it out with the Die. This gave it such a finished look. I will say if I do it again I will use our adhesive paper to do the edges when cutting it out. It was really hard to get this down.
