Over the Moon, heart-themed card for Cards for Little Hearts. I love heart-themed cards because they remind me of my birthday which is on Valentine’s day! I love it for many other reasons as well.
This card was made with a die that is very close to the Detailed Hearts Die on page 12 of the new Occasions/mini catalog. This is why I included it in the supply list, as I have no idea where I got this die from. I love it and decided to use it here with my little cow.
The Card
- Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 in real red
- Second Layer – Two pieces of cardstock here measuring 4 x 5 1/4 for each cut diagonally. I then put them through the embossing machine and used the Lace 3D embossing folder.
- Third Layer – Cherry Cobbler 3 1/2 x 5 with the hearts cut out and glued atop of the cardstock for the next part.
- I then ran through the embossing folder using Brick and Mortar with White Craft ink on the folder.
- I sponged some metallic wax, crumb cake, and flirty flamingo inks on the hearts.
- I stamped and colored my cow with the floating heart and popped them up with dimentionals.
I love this little guy. I wanted the sentiment to say I dream of Moo (you). With this being for the Cards for little hearts I decided not to put a sentiment on him. I may make another to put out for sale at Southern Charmers Country Store.
