Painted Harvest is what I needed. I needed a fall card so I decided to try my hand at an Eclipse card. The technique came to me in an email from SplitCoast Stampers. Check out the tutorial at the bottom of the page.
This particular stamp set is absolutely wonderful for fall. I have found several different ways to use it already.
Here is some of the different color combinations that I played with. Of course you can find all kinds of color charts on how the set looks with other colors online. I personally think its just fun to play around with all the different combinations myself.
I also made a Baby card for my Brother and Sister in law whom just had their first baby. I sent a baby blanket and hat to them as well. All in peach colors which is what they are doing the nursery in. I am happy to say baby and mom are just fine. My mother in law is ecstatic. Hopefully, everyone will continue to do well and we see lots of pictures of our sweet new niece.
Anyway back to the Painted Harvest Eclipse card. I decided to do this one for fall to teach at my Advanced technique class this month. I was going to do some Halloween cards this year but they have been making those at Pelican. So I went with a different approach.
I did the inside of the card too with the Painted Harvest flowers and a sweet sentiment from the set. I did, however, use Blackberry Bliss ink and cardstock on this card. I know it is retired but I could not help it. This color just looks so fabulous with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. IT screams FALL Yall. Which is what we need here in the south. I think mother nature has forgotten that it is supposed to be cooler and has left us in the heat from 80-92 degrees here lately. I am hoping that a real cool front comes and cools us off and makes it feel more like fall here.
Check out the tutorial from SplitCoast Stampers here. There is also a video as well below.
Here is a list of supplies I used. I put the Elegant Eggplant in here instead of the BlackBerry Bliss Since it has been retired. My class will be doing this at our Advanced class.
Hope you enjoy!!
