Paper Blooms

I have been trying to get back to basics with my card making for you. With today’s post, I have been really trying to make the paper do the work. We have so much pretty paper in the new Mini Catalog. This particular paper is free with a $50 order. It is called Paper Blooms. Stampin’ Up! coordinated it with the In Bloom Bundle.

Today I created two different cards using this wonderful paper. I was not so sure about it at first but thought what the heck it is free right!!!

 

Combing it with the True Love Black and White paper here.

 

I simply cut a few of the flowers out (using my Scan and Cut of course) and colored the flowers with some beautiful color choices. I used Seaside Spray and Petal Pink with a touch of Rococo Rose for the center. I thought adding the touch of vellum just made it stand out beautifully.

 

My second card got away from me. I saw another card I wanted this to resemble but it did not. I still like it but think in need something. A sweet simple card letting the paper do most of the work.
