Petite Purses can be a big hit for just about anything. Christmas, Halloween and even a Baby shower. My friend and neighbor needed a cute favor for their girls night out/baby shower. So this is what we came up with. Check out Brittany’s blog here.
Here is how we made these wonderful little beauties.
- Cardstock/Inks
- Calypso Coral
- Soft yellow random cardstock (non Stampin’ Up!)
- Whisper White
- Smoky Slate
- Accessories/Tools
- Big Shot
- Decorative Dots Embossing folder
- Scalloped Punch
- Petite Purse DieCut
- 3D Stickers of your choice (Brittany Picked these out)
- Stamps
- Zoo Babies Stamp Set
1. First thing you need to is cut your cardstock in half
2. Run through the Big Shot using the Petite Purse Die Cut to cut your purse out.
3. Once you have it cut out run the purse and not the strap through the Big Shot again using the Decorative Dots Embossing folder. (you will have to do this twice since it does not Cover the entire purse.)
4. Fold up your purse and use Sticky Strip double sided tape to adhere it together to get the best hold.
5. Once you have the base together you will need to put the strap on the purse. Having it together you will be able to see where the center is and glue the strap with some liquid adhesive and let dry.
6. Take your Calypso Coral and punch out with the scalloped punch.
7. Adhere your 3D stickers of your choice to the scalloped punched Calypso Coral with Stampin’ Up! dimentionals.
8. Take your whisper white card stock and stamp the Giraffe from the Zoo babies Stamp Set with the Smoky Slate Ink and then cut out by hand your giraffe.
9. Adhere him to the side of the purse with the liquid adhesive and turn his neck just so that he is peaking around the side at you.
There are many options to do with the petite purse die cut. Check out the samples Lori and I made for Wood Crop. Check back Soon I will give directions on how to do the Pig with a Christmas Flair.
