I had a hard time figuring out what to do with all of these stamps. Gasp I know! So much going on in the world I seemed to have lost a bit of excitement of the new catalog. With not getting to get together with other ladies and promote my craft, I feel a little exhausted with it. I have decided till I get my grove back I am going to show you items in the catalog with the example that is in the catalog itself. I will tweak it just a bit to fit with what I have in my stash. I am hoping this will inspire me to get creative again.
The Prized Peony was one of the stamps sets that I am in love with mainly because I love Peonies. I have planted a few in my barrels here in Statesville but I do not think they will bloom for a few years. So I wait patiently. I get to play with these in the meantime.
Today I created a card on page 82 of the new 2020-2021 annual catalog. I did change up the color on this one. Not because I did not have the colors but because I like the way that it colors better with the Cherry Cobbler blends. The card in the catalog is watercolored in Petal Pink. I am still working with watercolor and was not quite in the mood for coloring this way this morning. I have been experimenting with the colors on the Peonies I like Flirty Flamingo, Purple Posey, and Magenta Madness on them with the blends so far.
I love this card. It was not too hard to do. Took a little patience and I am sure that the background could have been a bit better but when stamping with versamark ink it is hard to see where your pattern goes. I believe this is why they used the Whisper White Craft ink. Not only would that keep it visible but would allow the versamark to stay wet longer to apply the white embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my take on this card.
