These are the Mother’s Day Cards that I sent out this year. I did the Recessed DSP technique with the Magnolia Lane Designer series paper. Here is a funny for you. When my mom got her card she called and asked me why I did not sign it. Apparently I sent cards out and forgot to sign them. Geeze, I guess the quarantine is getting to me.
I have several variations for you today on how to do these. Using up that wonderful DSP is not so hard to do when you have this particular type to do. I love them. The mothers in my life enjoyed them too.
What have you been doing to keep yourself entertained during quarantine? I have been working on my cards and trying to become more active on social media and my website for you. It has been hard as I want to play with those grandbabies that live just next door.
Our area has gone to a Phase 1 opening up. With me having health issues I have not done much more than I have already. If the store is crowded I do not go in hubby does. I am happy about the parks opening up so I can go play there with social distancing.
We have decided to go ahead and start seeing the kids again after a few months. We still do not watch them much, Dad is still not working. For Mother’s day, I spent the day with them and had the best dinner we found a place that carried Crawfish from Sal’s in Kenner, LA. So we had Crawfish Monica on Saturday. Sunday we had Floridian Omelets that you get at Broken Egg Crabmeat cream cheese Omelet with Holienday sauce. Dinner consisted of a low country boil (shrimp boil) complete with potatoes, corn, mushrooms, sausage, olives, garlic, and onions. We also had Fried Catfish nuggets fresh from fish my son in laws father caught. Desert was german chocolate cake with homemade ice cream. The food was fantastic and made me not miss home so much, but the company was a primo.
