I wanted Rooted in Nature set the moment I saw it. Like most of you, I thought it was pretty darn expensive for the bundle. Of course, I could just by the stamps and then the dies one at a time, but you know what is the point of one without the other. I needed a quick Thank you card which I am seriously lacking in that department since I send them out so often. I have just a great bunch of ladies and friends that deserve way more than a thank you. This whole card I was trying to use up some leftover pieces that would still make a statement when put together. I had the Tin TIle embossed copper piece already done. Click here to learn how to achieve this look if you missed the prior post on how to do this technique. The embossing powder I used on this one has been retired for quite some time. It was Tempting Turquoise, which was one of my favorite colors before it was retired last June. The “Thank You” was cut out with Joyous Noel Tranquil Tide glimmer paper that was retired at the end of the holiday catalog. You could use Tranquil tide paper here and cover with Wink of Stella. I had Coastal Cabana cardstock already cut for my base and the Crumb cake was already cut as well. All I had to do was cut out the tree from Rooted in Nature and emboss the Crumb cake background. Check out the picture below to see the finished product. Now I really need to work on some more thank you cards because I am way behind.
Here is the inside of the card. I could not leave out the inside. I think it looks stunning carrying the tin tile inside.
I also did the envelope. This is something I forget to do often. It is so easy and adds just the perfect touch to a handmade card.
Supply List
So I was able to earn the Rooted in Nature for half price. If you want to learn how just contact me and we can figure out the best way for you to achieve that goal. I just love how Stampin’ Up! makes everything match. It is probably the biggest reason I am a demonstrator. I know there are other companies out there and I have seen some of the products some even cheaper but not always better.
