Sailing Home Buckle card

The Sailing Home bundle is wonderful for Masculine cards. I tried this technique for the first time today. I love how wonderfully easy it is. You pick your perfect designer series paper and you can have a card made in no time. This one makes it look like it took forever to make. I actually watched several videos and then did my own take on a card. Here is one video that is most similar to what it did. You can check it out here.

The trick

Once you have decided what you want to do you need to make sure you have one of the two punches (Banner triple punch or Tailored Tag Punch) these will help you get that point on your buckle to look professional.

I have several watermen in my life that this card would be perfect for. They love the sea and sailboats of any kind.

It was pretty tricky trying to get the embossed image the way I wanted it. You just have to play with the dimensions of the card base before you actually make the scoreline. You also have to put the buckle on the opposite side to make it work.

I love the rope die that is in this set. Cutting it out and using just the Soft Suede ink on top of it gave it a realistic look on another card that I did.
