I just love this card. It has one of the Salebration items I really like this year. Happy Birthday to you. I combined it with the Stitched Lace dies that I also love. I can not get over the way that I managed to color the flowers on this one. It is what makes it one of my favorites and the star of this card.
This Month’s NC Demo Blog Hop is all about Celebrations. I have several friends that their birthdays are coming up and how can we not celebrate them without CAKE!! I mean there is always room for cake, right? My favorite is chocolate anything, or red velvet, or maybe cheesecake? All of them work for me. I just like cake.
The Card

- Card Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
- Second layer – Highland Heather diecut with Stitched Lace Dies 4 x 5 1/4 (you will trim to fit with edge die)
- Third – is the Cake Layer stamped and colored. I fussy cut it out but Stampin’ Up! has come out with dies to make it much easier. They will be available on Feb 1st., 2020 item # 153590.
Here is a close up of the flowers. These were done in Light Purple Posy and Dark Petal Pink. The leaves were done in Light and Dark Granny Apple Green.

This month I have decided to try something new and join the North Carolina Demo’s Blog Hop. My hope is to inspire you to get more creative this year. So I hope you enjoy checking out some of my new demonstrator friends’ blogs.

Amy, It is great that several of you decided to use the Happy Birthday To You set. You all had a different take and I love all the ideas. I guess I have to get some ink on my stamp set now. 🙂
Yes, coloring the flowers in this one is pretty therapeutic for me. Now with the dies to match i will definatley use those flowers for other projects.
Great card love your ideas
Thanks Tina.
Such pretty colors! And I like the Stitched Lace die along with the cake stamp set, it pairs so well together. I don’t have that die yet but I’m pretty sure I need it in my collection 😉 And welcome to the hop, hope to see you each month!!
Thank you! Hopefully I will get on all of the blog hops.
oooo the lace – so pretty! Great combo with the cake, so pretty!
Thank you, Ariel. So happy you checked out my blog.
That die looks so pretty with the birthday cake. Love the colors you chose to color.
Gorgeous card, Amy! Thanks so much for sharing!
Amy – Stunning card! The coloring on the flowers is absolutely gorgeous. It is so fun that many of us chose the Happy Birthday to You set to highlight. And, it’s great to see different ways to use the set. The Stitched Lace background you chose is sheer brilliance! And, the colors of the card are simply beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you Laurie
