Hello Crafty friends!! I am still awaiting my certification. Erum has been in touch and will get back to me. I told her to take her time. I will be starting to teach classes in April at the Enchanted Cottage in Lewisville, NC. You can click the link to Enchanted Cottage to find out more. I have also been dealing with medical issues with my family. So my brain has not quite been on crafting at the moment. I do hope to get back to it full-time soon.
I created this masterpiece while trying to take my mind off life and the worry it brings. Seasonal Blooms bundle has been out a while and is a pretty pricy bundle but has been so worth it. It comes with the Stamp set, Dies, Stencils, and Embossing folder.
My background was done with watercolor brush markers from Altenew. I used Purple Wine and Ultra Violet colors. You can check my video here on the technique if you want to know how I did this. Realize this one is a little different there is no stamped image on the watercolor paper.
The flowers were created with stamps, stencils, colored pencils, and an embossing folder to give it all the details you see here.
I started by stamping the whole image on a piece of 6 x 6 white cardstock. Then I used the stencils in the bundle to color the flowers with blending brushes and inks two colors for each color. After that, I used some colored pencils to add the deepest detail to the flowers. Cut out the flowers then after all this I took the embossing folder that is in the bundle as well and I embossed the image. I wanted my image to be the standard A2 card so I trimmed up the flower a bit to cover the front of my card. This image is now laid over the watercolor background I originally created.
I decided this was not enough!! Haha, it is almost always not enough. I decided it needed a butterfly or a bee. I had just gotten the Painted Butterflies from Altenew and I created one with the smallest color pallet found in my flowers. Cut him out and popped him up after I stamped my sentiment from the same bundle as the flowers. I just love that sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post.
