I had a birthday party to attend last weekend. I was in need of a gift tag for his gift. I had some Brusho strips that I did for another project laying around and decided this was perfect for a 5-year-olds birthday. Who wouldn’t like a happy bold name tag? I just love the reactions of kids when they see something that is just amazing in their eyes. There was one little boy who when he saw the waterslide that was as tall as the house he literally shook from excitement. I almost thought he was going to be ill. Wish I would have had a video of him when he saw it. Back to the birthday name tag. Here are the instructions and the supplies list.
1. To get the Brusho Background I cut strips of watercolor paper sprayed it with water and sprinkled the crystals on the strip of watercolor paper. I let it dry. (My piece was 7.5 x 3.25 inches)
2. Then cut the whisper white out to be 1/4 in smaller all the way around the strip. (7.25 X 3 inches)
3. Then I cut his name out using the Large Letter dies. I then glued on top of the dried Brusho and watercolor paper.
4. I placed a piece of black cardstock 1/4 inch larger than the watercolor paper (7.75 x 3.5 inches)
5. I punched two tiny holes in the top so it could be hung up later with linen thread.
