This Hostess set Very Vintage stamp set is just absolutely wonderful. I have used it for several things. When you need a card that is sweet and simple with not a lot of room to do it in this one is perfect. I recently took a week to see the grandkids and visit our Tiny house. If you missed the story of our tiny house you can check it out here. I took some scrappy supplies to the Tiny house for several reasons this trip. First I wanted to see how it would do while trying to craft there in such a small place. Secondly, I want to see how much storage I would really have in the Tiny for crafty items. I purchase a cabinet from Ikea in Charlotte similar to the one below.
I figure I can get 48 stamp sets most of my inks and tools with this and the crafty storage I purchased from Thirty One. Check the craft stuff from Thirty One here. My bags from Thirty One hold all of my distressing and embossing supplies in one bag. Then I have the other for my tools such as the big shot, trimmer, and the stamparatus. Then I have the Hostess set of the Case as it is called. It will hold all of my paper I am hoping. I know this does not leave me with much but I will still have room for storage in the loft. We will also rent a storage unit when we finally go to the Tiny.
Now back to that wonderful card.
The dimensions of this card are simple.
Whisper White cut at
5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and 4 3/8 x 3 1/8
Granny Apple Green Cut at
4 1/2 x 3 1/4 and 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
You will stamp on your Whisper White pieces. The larger piece is stamped with the doily in the set. I used first and second generation stamping here with the Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped all over the whisper white cardstock with no real pattern. The smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock I centered the floral bouquet and the sentiment and stamped at the same time using the same in and the stamparatus.
After the stamping had dried I layer the cardstock with the Granny Apple Green cardstock. To complete it I added a few pearls to it.
That was it. I tried this particular pattern with several colors but this one was my favorite.
