I saw a card set that was done with Snowflake Wishes and the Snowflake Splendor DSP. It was a one-sheet wonder with a 6 x 6 piece of designer series paper. I loved it and wanted to recreate it. I, however, got extremely sidetracked and came up with the card you see below. Yes, I know it is completely off track. Not even in the same color family. My idea was that I had some of the new Forever Greenery DSP and wanted to use that. Unfortunately, it did not work out. I started playing with the things that I had cut out for the other cards and decided I loved the way this looked. So it became the card. I also did another with the Gnomes that will be in the new catalog starting August 4th.
I was trying to use up some of my other supplies that carried over from last year. One of my products that were not carried over was the Noble Peacock Foil paper. I wanted to use this up for some of my Christmas cards. I made one with the new Evergreen Embossing folder. So beautiful. Somehow I ended up with the card below.
A very simple card a few techniques. I must say it was was very easy since I had all the tools to create beautiful snowflakes.
To create those I took Stampin blends and ran several colors over some whisper white cardstock. I then sprayed them with Frost White Shimmer paint that I put in my spritzer with Alcohol. This allowed for the glimmering paint to dry quickly leaving my paper quite shimmered. I then cut out my Snowflakes with the dies from the Snowflake wishes bundle. Voila, we have beautiful watercolored looking snowflakes. You can do this with any color you wish. It is also possible to do this with water painters and your ink from your stamp pads. You get the same effect it just takes longer for the paper to dry. I am not a patient person waiting on things to dry so I opted for this option.

I had also created the one below, It includes the Gnome for the Holiday’s stamp set. I made it because of all the pieces I had cut out for the may cards I thought I was going to do. The Gnomes I already had cut out and they fit into my precut squares.
