Christmas in July with Snowflake Wishes.
Today I will show you two different cards I created to show you how you can use this wonderful set. It is by far one of my favorites that Stampin’ Up! has put out with snowflakes. The only other one was a Snow is Glistening. I think that was the name. It had a tree and lots of falling snowflakes. But, I think for me, with the Snowflake Wishes, it was totally the paper Snowflake Splendor. That paper is and always will be one of my favorites. I used it again here because I purchase two extra packs of it for this year’s Christmas Cards. You can see the picture I created below. I even added a bit of fun from the Evergreen Border Punch.
I drew little lines in with the white gel pen for my trees and then ran the Wink of Stella over the trees. The card in person has so much more dimension and personality. You can see the wink of Stella and the bits of blends that I splattered all over the project much better.
Product List
I have decided to start to figure out how Stampin’ Up! came up with that beautiful Alcohol Paper called Expression in Ink. I so wanted to do other colors with this technique in mind. This put me on a tour of Tim Holtz Alcohol techniques. I learned how to create that look and so much more. So today, I am showing you one of what I came up with. Not all of the items are current, nor are all the items Stampin’ Up!. I found it very freeing not to have to use current and or all Stampin’ Up! products. Don’t get me wrong, I love the SU stuff, but sometimes, I feel like a money bag for them and can not get the products I want, so I have to resort to figuring out how to get the look I want with the product I can get. So this beauty was born. I love this card. The simple light impression of snowflakes in all that ink is just beautiful. I did not do a video for this, but I promise to do one soon. I am still learning and want to perfect my process before I show you how to do it.
A list of products that I used is below, and links to Simon Says to get the same products. I will say this technique really depends on the paper and the type of inks you choose. So keep that in mind when playing.
I also used a few other products, which I will list below
