So Hoppy Valentine’s Day is coming and I finally got a chance to work on some Valentine Cards, I will be sending some of these to the #cardsforlittlehearts. This little from the So Hoppy Together stamp set is just adorable, Stampin’ Up! seems to have an absolutely adorable critter of some kind for every Saleabration. Last year it was Panda’s and the year before it was Chickens. You can get this adorable little guy and his friends for free with a $50 dollar purchase.
I have an “adopted” son whom I have known since he was 8 months old. He sent me a valentine on my birthday (because it’s my birthday too) It was just a simple little jpeg image but it’s little sick figures and sentiment just made my heart melt. Still does. He is in his 20’s now and working in Yosemite national park. I miss him and his sister.
Here is a picture of what he sent
I have always remembered he sent me this. It was happened to come on a day I was feeling pretty low. I was just over the moon for so a little text. So I saw the So Hoppy Stamp set and there is one of the frogs that looks like he is trying to give you something. So I created something similar using my Cricut and my Stampin’ Up! products.
Using Granny Apple Green cardstock for the base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2). A piece of Garden Green (4 1/8 x 5 1/4), then a piece of Whisper White that was embossed with the Lace Dynamic Embossing folder (3 7/8 x 5 1/8). Then use Whisper white again and stamp the Buffalo Check stamp with Lemon Lime Twist ink cut 3 1/4 x 4 1/4). You will then take and make a Whisper White sentiment on your Cricut with the sentiment. I sized a square the same size as the buffalo check stamped image. I used a medium pen in the Cricut to write the sentiment. Once this is cut out I then stamped the frog on another piece of whisper white and cut him out with some Stamp dies. I watercolored the from in garden green and granny apple green. The heart is a negative cut out from the Be Mine stitched framelits with Flirty Flamingo and then embossed again in the Lace Dynamic embossing folder. On the inside, I stamped the Happy Valentines sentiment from the Ment to Be stamp set in Garden Green. I put the cut out of the hearts inside with another frog and bees.
After I got it all together I was so tickled… sad though because for the #cardsforlittlehearts they do not like a sentiment inside. So this one will have to stay with me. I can create a few more it was pretty easy to do.
