I finally got a quick chance to play with some of my new “toys” from the new catalog. It has been hard finding time to play with all my new stuff, between the painting of the Tiny house and having my hubby home for a few weeks. I just have not found the time. Well Sis -In-Law’s birthday was Sunday so I needed to come up with a card for her. She thinks her daughter is the sunshine. Well I am sure and do believe she is, but I also believe my sis in law is the Sunshine to her daughter and I just wanted her to know that we all think so too.
For the top layer I took a 51/4 x 4 piece of cardstock and cut out the center with the Oval Thinlits then ran it through the Big Shot with the new embossing folder Seaside. After it was embossed I used the new brayer sponges and rolled on some color starting with Soft Sky on the bottom, then Pool Party, and the top is Tempting Turquoise. Using the fine point glue was perfect to put the flower and the word Sunshine from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits on the front of this card.
This was my first shaker card. I must say I am pretty happy with the way it came out. What do you think? Just about everything I used came out of the new catalog. I even got to try out the sponge brayer.
