I just love to make Thank you cards. I made these for my customers and my Mother-in-law who gave me a Pilates Power gym. I must say I am in love with it. We will get to that later, first the best part of the post, the card. I purchased the Thank you Thinlits die shortly after it came out. I could not wait to play with it. Then I saw the BIg Shot Embossing mats and thought that these two items would work well together. I am not as happy about how it came out but I loved learning how to use the embossing mat with my thinlits. I watched Sharon Armstrong’s video of how to use the embossing mat you can check it out by clicking here . This was perfection on my helping my understanding on how to use this new tool Stampin’ Up! has. You can watch the video from Stampin’ Up! below.
The Thank you card I did is below. I used both the gray and dark blue silicone mats to get the Thank you deeply embossed. You need to be careful here as a few of them ripped on me. Go slow through the Big Shot. I find it works better with a colored cardstock than our Whisper White cardstock. It is a bit thinner than the colored Cardstock.
For this card, I used Touches of Textures to stamp the lace border on the top and the bottom in Grapefruit Grove. I used our Burlap Ribbon cutting it in half, using half to make a little-tied piece on top of the ribbon. I used the Share what your love Designer Series Paper. I love it so much apparently I got 2 packs of the is gorgeous paper.
You will need the following for this card.
As I mentioned I got a Pilates Power Gym from my mother in law. I am in love with it. After spending some time in Physical Therapy for some back issues. I was told not to use most of the weights at the gym. Use mostly bodyweight exercises or resistance bands. My Chiropractor says to do Pilates, swimming pool, and stretches. NO SQUATS without assistance. The squats I got to do at PT was on a Power Gym. This allowed me to keep my back in a stable position. Those suckers are starting at about 700 dollars. So that was out of the question for now. We happened to have dinner with my father in law and he asked me if we knew anyone who wanted a pilates table. I almost fell on the floor. … Yah… duh me!! So we picked it up a few days later and I have been on it almost every day since. I feel so much better. Gym membership to be canceled ASAP!! I think she deserved a thank you card for that.
A few things going on with Stampin’ Up! this month. There is the new limited time Blended Seasons set.
Once these beauties are gone they are gone for good!! I am sure the Watercolor Pencils will go first so hurry they have perfect fall colors. Like Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.
