The Painted Harvest stamp set has been one of my favorites ever since it came out. I couldn’t think of a better way to send some of my customers a card that lets them know how thankful I am for their business. I mean we should always be thankful for our customers but this one was extra special because we celebrate Thanksgiving this week. I will also celebrate my Mom this Thanksgiving she will turn 70. Happy Birthday, Mom. I find it hard to believe. You know she will always be in her late 40’s right? Well, that is not the way it works, unfortunately. Time marches on whether we want it to or not.
Here is today’s card. I used some retired DSP from the retired Painted Autumn DSP cutting it to 5 1/4 x 4 inches. I stamped randomly the flower from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set in Cajun Craze and the detailed flower in Cherry Cobbler. The center of the flower was stamped in Crushed Curry. I loved these colors together. The way it shows up on this background of the paper is just amazing. I have a friend that just does not like the Calypso Coral color we have with Stampin’ Up! so I thought it was fun to bring her favorite colors together with one of mine. I think it turned out amazing. I usually have a hard time stamping on such a beautiful DSP but I am happy I did.
I placed the DSP after it was stamped upon a Cajun Craze card base. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Whisper White 4 x 3/4 in and placed it on a piece of Cajun Craze 4 1/4 x 1in. I then placed it on the card. I had some retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon that I used on the card along with some leaves punched out from Copper Glimmer paper in the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper pack.
I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying your family time with lots of good food. I am forever grateful to you my followers.
Here is what you will need to complete this project
