The Winter Woods stamp set is one of my favorites because it is so versatile all year long. It works well with other sets that I have in my stash. I also love to make thank you cards. So I went to work with this one. I came up with some glimmer to add to it because you know everything is better is with something sparkly. Right? Tell me what you think.
This one is very similar to one in the catalog on page 27. I don’t have a picture of it but it is beautiful. It was hard to figure out if it was a DSP or stamped. So I created this one. Here I used the stamp with Soft Suede ink and stamped onto very vanilla cardstock using the Stamparatus hinged technique. If you missed that you can click here for the video and see how to do that. In between the trees I used crumb cake blends marker to slowly and carefully color in between. That was all it was. Amazing such a simple thing makes such a dramatic effect. Making the rest of the card was simple I just used 2 2×1 inch pieces of the glimmer paper to give the illusion that it was all the way behind the stamped image. I lined the image with some cherry cobbler. I also cut out leaves in cherry cobbler and glimmer paper and alternating the way the looked. I punched some soft sued out with a leaf punch for a bit of foliage. The background is Textured Woods DSP measuring 4 x 5.25 inches. The sentiment is from a retired set stamped in early espresso ink.
I hope you like this one and inspired to see where you can add this to your other sets to make a wonderful card for someone you love.
