Winter Woods Silent Night

How about a WInter Wood Silent peaceful night? That’s what I think when I look at this particular card. Brings me back to childhood dreams of being off in the woods looking at the peaceful beautiful scene that Jesus created just for us to enjoy. I wish the world would take better care of the scene in my mind, that is a topic for another time and place.

That card makes me just want to snuggle up with my honey with a warm spiked cocoa and watch the snow fall. Of course here in south Louisiana, we don’t get much snow here. We did get snow here last winter. Below is what our place looked like.

This is how you make this card. We did this one at the Stamp a Stack in November. Enjoy.

Use the Silver Foil-edged card base item # 147900 for the base.
Cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 5 ¼ x 4.
Run through Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
Rub a bit of Whisper White Craft ink on the embossed night of navy cardstock.
Take a piece of Whisper White cardstock and use the long edgelit to give you your hill on the snow and cut your cardstock by running through the big shot as well.
Take the cut piece for your “hill” and run it through the big shot with the Swirls and curls embossing folder. (you will see small little blue dots on mine. If you want to recreate those it was because I accidentally put it on top of my night of navy cardstock before the whisper white ink completely dried on the cardstock)
Take the left-over piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamp the tree from the Winter Woods stamp set in Sahara Sand. Also stamp on the 3 3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White in your kit.
Cut one out with the tree outline and then cut the other out with the whole tree.
Stamp your Silent night on the small whisper white piece (banner size)
Take the punch and just slightly trim both ends with the punch. DO NOT put the whole thing in the punch you will ruin the image. Check with me if you have questions.
Layer your Silver ribbon on your Whisper White Swirls and curls piece. I just have a small simple tie in the ribbon.
Adhere your white piece to the Night of Navy cardstock
Place that on top of your silver edged base
Use dimentionals on your sentiment piece and pop it onto the card. That’s it.

Here is what you will need to complete this card. The Wonderland Stamp Set is retired however, any sentiment will do. The silver ribbon was also retired but you can get that in any craft store.
