I saw this Good Morning Magnolia card on one of the FB groups that I joined in NC. I found out I actually follow the demonstrator that posted it long before I ever came to NC. HAHA Anyway, I was in love with the card and since I had plenty of Magnolia’s leftover from a coloring class (check that post out here) I decided to case this one. Of course, as always I added a bit of a different spin to it. This one is so simple and well just beautiful.
Z-Fold
I am not sure if you all know how to do a Z-Fold card but it is relatively simple.
- You cut your cardstock in half to 4 1/4 x 11.
- Score it at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2.
- You fold in half and take the other score line and fold in the opposite direction.
Yes, it is that simple. Then you decorate any way you like. Well, Wendy’s card was just the inspiration I needed to get me to use those leftover Magnolias I made practicing how to color them for my class.
My small piece that covers the front side measures 2 1/2 x 4. I then stamped it with the Birch background stamp. Then I put the Magnolia that was pre-colored atop of this.
For the inside, I cut a piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4 and stamped the flourish on it with Soft Suede. I also decided to stamp some of the smaller magnolias in the set for the insides of my card. Stamped them in Momento and colored them with Stamp’ and Blends markers. I used Petal Pink and the light Flirty Flamingo for inside both of my flowers and then Mossy Meadow blends for the leaves.
On some of the insides of my cards, I decided to do the die that works with the flourish to step it up a notch. I decided to leave them blank so I can use these for any occasion.
