I am trying out this Mountain Air stamp set this month. I did a watercolor look for you on my last blog here. I thought to myself, wouldn’t this set not be awesome with a sunset? So off I went to find the colors that I thought would suit me best. I am all for bright and bold colors for the evening. Even though I mostly am drawn to the subtle color palates.
Here is my Palate that I wanted to use for my card.
Mountain Air set worked so beautiful with the sunset. I choose a Poppy Parade cardstock for the base of the card. It was the one that looked the best. The basic black did not work very well for me. Usually, this is the best option for something with so many colors in it. I love the way these colors blended with the same effect as the actual sunset. Once I was finished with my background piece, I wanted to put a picture of the Causeway bridge in New Orleans, Louisiana, instead of the mountains. This bridge is the longest continuous bridge over water. There is a bridge in China built that extends 102.4 miles but is not constant over water. I was surprised by this fun fact. Anyway, this reminded me of all those long walks on the Northshore lakefront watching the sunset we used to take. Nowadays, we are taking hikes in the mountains instead. Not usually at sunset, it is too darn cold at that time of day;
The Card
The card was pretty simple to do. You can download a PDF below to make this card.
